Lindvalls Chark

Meat processing plants, abattoirs and dairies pose some of the biggest problems of all when it comes to finding appropriate flooring. Extremely high requirements for hygiene, cleanability, anti-slip surfaces and the ability to resist both heavy weights and high temperatures mean that only a very small number of specialist products can ever be considered.
One of them is Peran STB Compact coloured sand compound flooring, which can be adapted in thickness to meet the kind of loads and other criteria mentioned above. The flooring at Lindvalls Chark in Strömsnäsbruk, Sweden, is a good example of this solution in practice. Each time the facilities have expanded, EU PLAST AB has been entrusted with the task of customising the ideal flooring solution.
To cope with the extremes of temperature that are a necessary and natural part of the meat processing industry, all the floors were given a 6 mm thick covering. Different kinds of anti-slip structures were integrated into each of the individual production areas and different coloured floors indicated the different hygiene levels of the various production stages.
All the plinths and footings were also surfaced with STB coloured sand compound and fitted with hollow mouldings to make them as easy to clean as possible. To provide extra protection for the familiar "weak spots" in the floor (floor drains etc.), the concrete was opened up and replaced by an epoxy filler.
"Our high quality criteria for our manufacturing processes and our products place great demands on our production plant. By tackling this challenge with admirable professionalism EU PLAST AB has installed flooring systems that contribute to our strict quality requirements."
