When the Swedish Air Force´s former repair hangar for the old "Viggen" fighter was to be totally refurbished to accommodate the first of the new generation of JAS jets, the military authorities contacted EU PLAST AB.

After carrying out an extensive inspection of the existing concrete base slab, EU PLAST AB ascertained that the concrete was in parts badly worn and contaminated with a variety of chemicals. To ensure maximum adhesion the concrete was shot-blasted three times before being diamond-ground to a smooth finish.

The contaminated sections were milled and removed and, after cleaning, the concrete was primed and covered with a 500 micron layer of Peran TL. This thorough approach and appropriate treatment should ensure that the new flooring will function as intended for a long time to come.
