Ericsson

Industrial manufacturing processes are increasingly being integrated into flexible production flows. Fork-lift aisles, warehousing and production are constantly being moved around within the production premises. Experience has shown that ESD tiles do not always work well under these circumstances.
When used in conjunction with stacker trucks and fork-lifts these tiles have sometimes come loose. To create the right conditions for flexible production at Ericsson´s premises a decision was made to install Peran ESD SL seamless industrial flooring, which prevents the build-up of static electricity.
The product met even the most stringent of Ericsson´s requirements for this essential function. The old floors were shot-blasted to remove all vestiges of adhesive and dirt and the carefully cleaned concrete was then primed with low-viscosity epoxy to ensure the very best adhesion. Earthing/Grounding points and copper strips were put in place before the conductive adhesive was applied.
Then the self-levelling ESD coating was smoothed out using a pin screed. Today Ericsson is free to move production around within the premises without having to worry about ESD functions or the weight of the loads. The new flooring is also effective in resisting chemical attack and highly appropriate for use in an environment where the criteria for cleanliness are high.
"We are very pleased with the work that EU PLAST AB has done. Despite the intensive traffic and the constant wear and tear that the floor is subject to, it has performed perfectly."
